Shlokas for children that promote health and academic excellence

With the onset of technology and the advancement of social media, we do not need to ask kids about the newsfeed on Facebook and Twitter. They know it all. However, when it comes to spirituality, we need to expose our children to the culture and values. As parents, you want your kids to be in the pink of health and excel academically. Whatever knowledge we impart on our children stays with them till their life. Why not inculcate a few shlokas into kids since their childhood? With technology at our hands, it is not a big challenge to teach your little ones a few basic mantras and shlokas for positive effects in their lives.

It may turn out to be an interesting and bonding experience for both you and your kiddos! Add a little rhythm and tune to it, even better for a mischievous kid to start chanting.

Before we move on to them, let us understand what each of these mean. It is also believed that what we recite shall affect us in some way or the other. So are the shlokas and mantras we chant as per Indian 2023 Free Horoscope Report astrology. You do not want your child to get negative effects by reciting or chanting the wrong shlokas or pronouncing it incorrectly. Hence, it is necessary to know the basic idea of the chants and their pronunciation.

There are three types of chantings that are done for various purposes – Rucha or Richa, Mantra, and Shloka. In the first one, Rucha, the pronunciation of the verse, the form or tone of chanting can not be changed and hence should only be chanted by those who can follow the rules. The Mantra, must not be changed. However, it can be chanted in a different tune or form. Shloka refers to the praisee’s names which can be changed depending on the Lord of worship. (For example, Om Namah Shivay is a shloka to please Lord Shiva which can be changed to Om Saraswatiyayi Namah if one wishes to pray to Goddess Saraswati.)

Ganesha has come up with these easy shlokas and mantras that you can teach your kids to impart positivity in them. You can start by teaching your kid to chant this easy shloka:
